The studio started with the idea of addressing architecture as a series of moves. These moves were related to specific forms. The piece by piece approach aimed to solve programmatic issues with create a high rise in the site. The site is in Culver City, and the program being a radio station for 95.5 fm. What circulated the idea for this high rise was the idea of stacking and combining normative volumes with abnormal forms. These forms would host activity in more relation to privacy and controlled environments – such as music studios, production rooms, server farms, media centers, and a large-scale theater. These forms also acted as a main circulation do get to the normative volumes – boxes- that were usually at the top of the architecture. The boxes would then host programs like offices that aided the production of the radio station. The programs were separated physically by different buildings, yet unified in the way they rested, touched, or inserted within one another.
